Monday weigh-in


I lost .2. So not a stellar weight loss but a loss none the less. I weighed 201.6.

That new watch I got for Christmas has a feature that on Sunday nights it shows how much exercise time you got for the week and how many calories you burned. I looked at mine this morning and it said: 4 hours and 5 minutes exercise time with a total of 1993.2 calories burned. I was amazed. I did not work out everyday and I was so out of my points I had negative points. If I had stayed closer to my points I could have lost a half pound with just the exercise. This is definitely food for thought. I want to weigh less not drink another cup of hot chocolate. Next week I'll have to see the calories burned and the weight loss- see them when I'm really trying. Now that is exciting.

    That is a cool watch. Something I read said that we tend to overestimate how many calories we burn in exercise and we underestimate how many calories we are consuming.

    Maybe you need hot tea...it sure sounds cold in your neck of the woods!

  2. The watch sounds awesome and very motivating! Do you wear the chest monitor too? I wondered about that when I looked at watches and thought I would probalby never wear that around my chest.

  3. The watch does have a strap that goes around my chest. Once it is on I don't feel it but I take it off when I'm done exercising because it has to be moist to get the data. I really like while I'm exercising to know that I need to pick up the pace to get my heart rate in the zone. It's very motivating- it beeps continously when I go below my zone.

  4. Winter is tough for losing weight (I'm having similar issues), but you are persevering! Just wait until you can bike again. Hungry will be kicked to the curb!

    Yes, we do need to go out for some girl time! Really soon!
