I made this cool January Menu after my friend posted hers on her blog. I hung it proudly on the fridge and pointed it out to various members of the house. Now I won't have to answer "What's for dinner?" a thousand times after school. This is so great, until Patrick (10 years old) asks me if I figured out all the points for each meal. Ahhh no. I thought I would do that on that day? Now I'm worried- what if the day we have beef stew, I'll have to have my quesadilla with out cheese because I won't have the points! Or ham slices on a Sunday night won't be a good night before weigh-in meal (too much sodium, water retention!) I will make this work, Patrick!
Ummm...at least you thought ahead enough to make a calendar.
ReplyDeleteDo you get online tools when you do standard WW? I'm sure they could help you calculate daily points.
Kevin's mom used to have a program that would calculate her calories and fiber every day. This was when she was very strict about her diet and sodium. My favorite entry was "apple w/o core." Who eats the core?
When Mike was in Argentina for his mission, he said that little kids would see that he hadn't eaten the core and they would grab it and snack the whole thing. No, Mike didn't pick up that snack habit. I think it's a culture thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to look up all the points before hand. It will be difficult to follow the menu. Today was suppose to be omelets- I was too tired once we got home from church, so I made scrambled eggs with the ham and cheese and vegies. Black bean quesadillas for dinner- only cheese ones for the children who wanted to eat. It will be too much extra look up when I know I'm a changer. But at least there is a guide.
So when does the February calendar go up? Can't wait to see what the Malms are eating in February! :)
